The Ingenuity behind Chevrolet Camaro
In the late 1970’s and beyond Chevrolet has the success and attention it long wish to attain. However, it is not easy for Chevy cars to penetrate the mainstream and be liked by car enthusiasts. Prior to the 1980’s, it is the Ford car company that rules particularly the Ford Mustang that has been known as a big threat to almost all Chevy automobiles specifically Chevrolet Camaro.
The popularity of Ford Mustang and the brand name Ford itself has been like a strong foundation that is hard to penetrate. This has been the mind-setting of Chevrolet Company, not until a marketing strategy has been
formulated in what seems to be a mortal sin for almost all kinds of ventures – the fabrication and copying of who’s on top, thus, the rise of Chevrolet Camaro. It is amusing to know that such vehicle with exact features of its rival will become a big hit in the market. The Camaro is a NO extravagant and glamorous vehicle nor it is a good performing and fast car as compared to the Z-28 yet, it surprisingly captivate the attention of car seekers and collectors. With this given state, the Camaro proves one thing – a copy-cat can be as good and way beyond the excellence that the original can offer and that’s what happened to the Camaro.
It may be a great risk for the Chevrolet Company to go through a bold move, yet it all paid off as they become the leading car company in the 1980’s. One thing that makes the Chevrolet Camaro a success despite of its seemingly copycat features is the personality – the sporty mugs, second generation coupe and its controversial market competition against Ford.
